Nottawasaga lighthouse has been helping
mariners find Collingwood since it was built in 1858.
Let Bob Muir help you to find a home to enjoy the Collingwood Lifestyle.
Collingwood is near the centre of the Georgian Triangle, on the south shore of Georgian Bay. We are the Ski Capital of Southern Ontario, but we have more visitors in the summer for cycling, golfing and the scenic Beaver Valley. I don't think you can find a better place to live! We have so many activities to do, that it helps to be retirees, so you can fit it all in! Many of my retired friends find that they must miss something, because of time conflicts, or they are just too busy.
While there is a Town of Collingwood (population about 22,000), people often refer to "Collingwood" and mean the surrounding area up to 50 kilometres away. This includes the Towns and Municipalities of Clarksburg; Craigleith; Creemore; Dunedin; Duntroon; Eugenia; Feversham; Glen Huron; Heathcote; Kimberly; Kolapore; Meaford; Nottawa; Ravena; Singhampton; Stayner; Sunnidale; The Blue Mountains; Thornbury; and World Famous Wasaga Beach. The Townships in the area include Clearview; Collingwood; Euphrasia; Nottawasaga; Ospery; and St. Vincent.
There are spectacular panoramic views in the Beaver Valley, the Pretty River Valley and south of Creemore. Collingwood is in the north west corner of Simcoe County It extends right to the county line with Grey County. While the Blue Mountain Resort is often referred to as Collingwood it is actually in Grey County. This is just one of the reasons to use a Local Realtor®.
